Tofu, Bacon, Beans & Toast 

  • extra firm tofu

  • low sodium soy sauce

  • sugar free syrup

  • tomato paste

  • olive oil

  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tsp - 1 tbsp liquid smoke

  • onion powder

  • garlic powder

  • paprika

  • pepper

  1. Ensure that tofu is drained. If not using vacuum packed super-firm tofu, wrap it in a paper towel, place a heavy object on top of it to press out extra liquid. Allow tofu to press while you prepare other ingredients.

  2. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a cooking tray with parchment paper.

  3. Whisk together the remaining ingredients in a bowl

  4. Cut tofu into thin strips, about 1/8 of an inch. Dip each slice into the marinade, then place on baking tray. Set aside extra marinade.

  5. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove the baking tray from the oven. Flip each piece, add remaining marinade. Bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until edges have browned. Remove from oven, let cool, enjoy!
